Taxpayers with business income, including sole proprietors, freelancers, commission earners, and individuals with side businesses, are required to submit Form B for the Year of Assessment (YA) 2025 through the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN) via the MyTax portal.
The submission deadlines are as follows:
- 30 June 2026 – Manual submission
- 15 July 2026 – e-Filing submission
LHDN has announced that e-Filing for YA 2025 officially commenced on 1 March 2026 through the MyTax system. Taxpayers are encouraged to submit early to avoid penalties and last-minute issues.
Before submitting Form B, ensure all supporting documents are properly prepared, including:
- Business income records
- Profit & loss statement
- Expense receipts
- EPF and SOCSO details
- Tax relief supporting documents
Among the common tax reliefs available for YA 2025 are:
- Lifestyle relief
- EPF and life insurance
- Medical insurance
- Education fees (self)
- Medical expenses for parents
- SSPN contribution
- Child relief
- PRS contribution
LHDN also reminded taxpayers that late submission or inaccurate reporting may result in penalties and enforcement action under the Income Tax Act 1967.
